Build saved searches and reports that the Finance team asks for, using AI tools to draft search criteria and formulas. Create and change custom fields, custom lists, and simple workflows in the sandbox, then move them to production with Finance approval. Learn to write a clear change note for every change.

Learn SuiteScript 2.x and our SuiteCloud project in GitLab, using AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex) to write, explain, and review scripts. Read and change our existing scripts: the invoice printout scripts, the invoice-to-PDF and create-payment RESTlets, and the FX cross-rate portlet. Deploy to the sandbox through GitLab CI and test the result together with the Finance team.

Learn how the platform creates customers, pulls invoice and payment PDFs, and posts reconciled payments to NetSuite, and how NetSuite data is copied into the data lake. Learn how to give AI agents safe access to this data: read-only roles with the least permission needed, no sensitive or personal fields, sandbox before production, and a log of what the agent reads. Use SQL and AI agents to check that data matches between NetSuite and the platform, and help the Finance team fix mismatches.

Own one automation project chosen with the Finance team, for example a report that is still prepared by hand, a validation that stops wrong data entry, or an AI assistant that answers Finance questions from NetSuite data using the safe access set up in Month 4. Write a short plan, build it in the sandbox, test it with Finance users, and release it to production.

Handle Finance team support requests about NetSuite with a mentor: find the cause, fix it or pass it to the right owner, and record the fix. Write or update the documentation for our scripts, searches, integrations, and the rules for AI access to NetSuite data. Present the automation project and hand over to the team.
