Instrument Engineer Intern

Activities/Skills: o Control Systems: Participate in I/O allocation and system architecture analysis for control systems (e.g., DCS/SIS). o Coordination: Issue design conditions to relevant disciplines (Process, Piping, Electrical) and coordinate design interfaces. o Technical Support: Assist in resolving drawing issues or technical clarifications during site construction.

Activities/Skills: o Procurement Support: Prepare Material Requisitions (MR) and technical bid evaluations for instrumentation procurement. o Quality Control: Check and review design drawings to ensure compliance with chemical safety codes and industry standards. o Document Management: Assist in compiling and organizing as-built documentation.

Activities/Skills: o Reporting: Write the internship final report and participate in data analysis for specific tasks/projects. o Collaboration: Work with other engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams (e.g., Procurement, Construction Management) to track project progress. o Task Completion: Complete other auxiliary design tasks assigned by the mentor.

Activities/Skills: o Company & Business Process: Attend company introduction, understand organizational structure, and learn the engineering design business workflow. o Codes & Standards: Study basic chemical instrumentation fundamentals and common design codes/standards (e.g., IEC, API, ISA). o Software Familiarization: Get familiar with the software environment and tools commonly used in the design institute.

Activities/Skills: o Document Reading: Learn to read and interpret Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). o Instrument Selection: Perform instrument selection based on process conditions (e.g., flow meters, transmitters, control valves). o Documentation: Prepare Instrument Data Sheets under the supervision of the mentor.
